Maasai Conservation
Our Responsibility

We don’t believe safari should come at the cost of the land.

Every journey you take with us actively supports the guardians of this wilderness.

Honest Travel

Sustainability is often a buzzword. For us, it is a survival strategy. If we do not protect the Mara, we do not have a business. If the local communities do not benefit from tourism, the wildlife vanishes. It is that simple.

Conservation First

We prioritize lodges located within private conservancies. Conservancies pay lease fees directly to Maasai landowners, creating a financial incentive to keep land open for wildlife rather than fencing it for farming.

  • Strict adherence to park rules (no off-road driving in National Parks).
  • Respecting animal "comfort zones" during sightings.
  • Supporting anti-poaching units through park fees.

Community Empowerment

The people of Kenya are the hosts. We ensure they are the primary beneficiaries. We work almost exclusively with camps that employ locally, providing training and fair wages.

  • 100% Kenyan guides on all our safaris.
  • Visiting villages where we have genuine, long-term relationships.
  • Sourcing food and supplies from local markets.

Low Impact Footprint

Mass tourism destroys what it seeks. We advocate for "High Value, Low Impact" tourism. Fewer vehicles, smaller groups, and lighter footprints.

  • Ban on single-use plastics in our vehicles.
  • Partnering with solar-powered eco-camps.
  • Digital-first documentation to reduce paper waste.

Our Commitment

Transparency is our currency. We do not hide costs. We do not cut corners on safety or ethics to lower the price tag.

  • Fair pricing that ensures fair wages for staff.
  • Honest advice on what to expect (and what not to).
  • Long-term stewardship of the Kenyan wilderness.
